Dvořák -Quartet in F major, Opus 96 'American'
BBC Record Review May 15th

Due to personal reasons, in March this year, the charismatic and much loved viola player, Jiri Zigmund, left the Wihan Quartet to take a sabbatical. It is always very difficult to find someone to join such a tightly knit ensemble as The Wihan, but the quartet has been very fortunate to find an excellent musician in Jakub Cepicky, son of Leos Cepicky. Jakub has toured with the Czech National Orchestra, and has established a reputation in the Czech Republic as a fine violinst and viola player and he and Leos have performed together as soloists on many occasions in recent years.
